Adult education programs are helping build New Mexico's workforce by connecting students to industry-recognized training and credentials that lead to in-demand careers. In 2025, enrollment in Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs grew nearly 50% to 787 students, who earned 487 industry-recognized certificates—a 44% increase over the previous year. By investing in adult learners, New Mexico is creating opportunities for residents to gain valuable skills and build successful careers right here at home.

With 77 approved programs statewide and 40 active programs last year, New Mexicans are gaining valuable training in fields such as healthcare, skilled trades, construction, energy, transportation, public safety, culinary arts and entrepreneurship. :The expansion of The University of New Mexico - UNM Hospital Children’s Psychiatric Center is major step forward for children's mental health in New Mexico. 🏥

With a $40 million investment from the State of New Mexico, the new center supports 36 beds and increases access to critical behavioral health services for young New Mexicans.

Last month, we joined The University of New Mexico - UNM for the groundbreaking of Lobo Crossing! 🏗️

This new development near Main Campus is officially underway and will bring new shops, dining options and other resources to students, faculty, staff and the broader Albuquerque community.

Thanks to legislation signed by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham Lobo Crossing represents a significant investment in the city of and will help create a more vibrant and connected campus experience for years to come.

We look forward to seeing the project take shape as construction moves forward.
