Waldens Ridge Emergency Service Waldens Ridge Emergency Services (WRES) provides fire, rescue and EMS services to the Walden community. WRES is a non-profit, completely volunteer department.

Waldens Ridge Emergency Service, Inc. is an all-volunteer department consisting of 55 non-paid members with two stations supporting a mountainous district of 33 square miles. We are located on Signal Mountain in Hamilton County, Tennessee. Our two stations are at 2100 Taft Highway in the Town of Walden and 7339 Sawyer Pike in an unincorporated area. We may also be requested to respond to calls in

the Town of Signal Mountain, the Lone Oak Community of Signal Mountain, the City of Red Bank, or others. Through the Tri-State Mutual Aid Association, we are linked to almost 40 other departments in Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama and may be called to help any of them at any given time.

Waldens Ridge Emergency Services was dispatched to a reported woods fire today in the Boston Branch /Flippers bend area.

Units arrived on scene to find multiple large brush piles actively burning, which had spread into a wooded area. Crews quickly initiated fire suppression efforts to contain the spread.

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture Forestry Division responded with heavy equipment to assist with containment and overhaul operations.

The fire has since been extinguished. Crews remain on scene mopping up hot spots. Tennessee Department of Agriculture
