This week is Homecoming week! Dress up to show your school spirit! Dress up days are as shown below:
Monday, August 31- Student/Teacher Swap Day - Students dress like your teacher, and teachers dress like your students!
Tuesday, September1 - Senior Citizen's Day - Wear grey hair/wig, dress like your grandparents or great grandparents.
Wednesday, September 2 - Ready for Battle - Dress in camouflage, like a captain or sailor, military inspired outfits, team gear, athletic attire
Thursday, September 3 - Decades Day - Pick your favorite decade and dress to represent.
Friday, September 4 - Rebel Spirit Day - Wear your red, white, and blue and show your Rebel spirit!

The homecoming dance will take place Friday, September 11, from 7-10 pm.

Effingham County Schools’ Clear Bag Procedure for athletic/extracurricular events.

Approved Items: Clear/transparent tote bags, clear backpacks, clear crossbodies, clear ziplock bags, and stadium seat cushions/chairs.

Not Approved Items: Opaque backpacks, purses/crossbody bags, briefcases, cooler bags, lunch bags, outside water bottles/flasks, outside drinks, and outside food.

The PSAT will be given at ECHS October 20, 2026 to all first-time 10th graders. The PSAT is a practice SAT exam. The state is paying for all first-time 10th grade students to take this practice exam.

Additionally, 11th grade students may sign up to take the exam to attempt to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship.
Students in 11th grade who wish to sign up to take the PSAT must register using the link below and pay $18 in Room 801. The deadline to register and pay is September 21st.

Come out tonight and enjoy supper at Surcheros from 6-9 pm in Rincon while supporting ECHS Cross Country. 10% of proceeds will benefit the cross country team.
