Sweet Treats Cannery

Sweet Treats Cannery I travel to over 80 farms to hand select and pick all the fruits and vegetables that go into our jars Named after a little sweet with a touch of heat. Wendy

My journey has been long and gracious as Sweet Treats Cannery keeps growing everyday! I started Sweet Treats Cannery over 20 years ago, and was able to see it come to life in January of 2020 when it finally was given its name. Then again in February of 2022 when the brick and mortar in Springfield was put together for manufacturing. Meeting many new friends and family along the way. It has been am

azing to share my travels with you including all the local farmers and how they work their land, producing hand selected fruits and vegetables that go into our jars. I am blessed and hope our family recipes can bring your families back to the table, craving what generations before us once created. Please look for Sweet Treats Cannery online at sweettreatscannery.com for all your product needs in the online store. You can also follow on Facebook to see where we will be traveling next! Thank You for all your love and support.

❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You to Sweet Southern Charcuterie & Sips

We want to take a moment to give a very special thank you to Gabryel, owner of Sweet Southern Charcuterie & Sips in Springfield, GA, for her incredible thoughtfulness and generosity in helping raise funds for our cause.

Gabryel, your kindness has truly touched our hearts. ❤️

When you are walking through a difficult season, it is the unexpected acts of kindness from people in your community that remind you just how blessed you are. Springfield holds such a special place in our hearts. It is where Sweet Treats Cannery began its journey, where we built relationships, served our community, and were surrounded by so many people who believed in us.

To now have that same community reaching back out and supporting us during a time of need means more than we could ever put into words.

Thank you, Gabryel, for thinking of us, for opening your heart, and for using your business to help make a difference. Your generosity is a beautiful reminder that small businesses aren't just businesses—they are families, friendships, and communities coming together to lift one another up.

We are truly blessed to have started our journey in Springfield, and even more blessed to know that the love and support we found there continues to follow us into our next chapter.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. ❤️

Sweet Southern Charcuterie & More LLC — your kindness will not be forgotten.
May God bless you and your business abundantly for the kindness you have shown us. 🙏❤️

🩷 SMALL BUSINESS NEEDING SUPPORT🩷

I saw Sweet Treats Cannery share what they’re currently going through while trying to get their new licensed cannery at Cross Roads Farm open, and I immediately knew I wanted to do something to help.

If you’ve ever had one of my charcuterie boxes or Girl Lunches, there’s a really good chance you’ve already had one of their jams. Sweet Treats Cannery is who I use for the jams in my boxes, so this one feels especially close to home.

While working through the permitting process for their new facility, they were hit with unexpected septic and infrastructure requirements that turned into additional engineering, soil studies, surveys, redesigns, and permitting costs. Those unexpected expenses have taken a big chunk of the funds they had set aside for construction and equipment and have delayed their opening.

So we’re doing a quick little raffle to help. 🫶🏼

We have received **so many private messages today**, and I want to thank every one of you for your support, prayers, encouragement and love for Sweet Treats Cannery.

Because so many of you have asked what is happening with the new cannery, I feel like it's time to share a little more of the journey.

**Sweet Treats Cannery has been a food manufacturing business for years.** We operated our manufacturing facility in Springfield for approximately four years using county water and established public infrastructure.

Moving to our property in Laurens County has been a very different process.

Here, there is no municipal sewer available. That means we have to design and permit an on-site wastewater system specifically for our commercial food manufacturing operation.

Our septic application was denied by the Laurens County Department of Health on **May 11, 2026.** We appealed and continued providing additional information and professional documentation.

We have now been advised by Georgia EPD that our proposed food-processing wastewater falls under **Non-Domestic Septic System (NDSS)** requirements, meaning we must work through **both EPD and the Department of Public Health** for the necessary permits.

That has brought additional engineering, geological information, system design requirements and ongoing compliance considerations into the process.

**We aren't trying to avoid the rules.**

We're trying to understand them, meet them and build this facility the right way.

This has taken more time and money than we ever anticipated, but we're still here.

We're still working.

We're still building.

And we're not giving up on the vision we have for Sweet Treats Cannery and Crossroads Farm.

**Thank you for allowing me to serve this community.**

Thank you for believing in my small business.

And thank you for walking this journey with me.

❤️ **One step at a time. One jar at a time.**
