Station 26 crews responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of DuPont Highway and Blackbird Forest Road.

Upon Deputy 26’s arrival, one occupant was found trapped inside the vehicle. Squad 26 and Engine 26 quickly went to work to safely extricate the patient, with assistance from A-27 and New Castle County Paramedics.

The patient was transported by A-4 for further medical care.

We thank all responding agencies for their teamwork and professionalism, and we wish the injured individual a full and speedy recovery.

Earlier today, crews from Station 26 responded to a motor vehicle collision. Members of Squad 26 and Engine 26 worked alongside B-26, D-64, and A-4 to assist those involved and ensure the scene was safe.

🚒🎓 A HUGE congratulations to both Tennessee Harper and Ashley Johnson on graduating today from the Delaware State Fire School Firefighter I & II Academy Class! 🎓🚒

After four months of hard work, determination, and countless hours of training, Ashley and Tennessee have officially earned the qualifications to serve as emergency responders, prepared to face everything from hazardous materials incidents and vehicle accidents to structure fires and emergency situations when our community needs help most.

In the early evening of April 10, 2026, crews from Townsend Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics , and Delaware State Police Aviation Section responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 5900 block of Summit Bridge Road.

All patients were treated on scene and transported to area hospitals by both ground and air, with additional support from B-26, B-1, and Trooper 4.

Thank you to all first responders for your professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to serving the community.
