5/12/26 - Waverly Fire was dispatched at 15:45 to the 2900 block of 5th Ave NW for a mulch fire. Upon arrival units found the majority of the property involved. Due to location water needed to be hauled in instead of the use of hydrants. Janesville and Plainfield Fire Dept were dispatched for tankers ( apparatus to haul water ) and manpower. Approximately 275,000 gallons of water were used to control the situation and protect nearby properties. All units were cleared from the scene at 20:59.
