A homestead exemption can reduce a property’s assessed value, thereby lowering property taxes. If you are a permanent Florida resident, keep in mind that you can lose your property tax savings in some situations. If you have any questions, please call Exemption Services at 561.355.2866.

By now, all property owners in Palm Beach County have received their 2026 Notice of Proposed Property Taxes and Assessments. Remember, this is not a bill...it's an estimate of one's taxes based on the proposed tax rates, one's property value and exemptions. It was a pleasure speaking last night alongside Anne Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector, Serving Palm Beach County for Florida State Representative Jervonte Edmonds, and the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, Inc.

We discussed the roles and responsibilities of our respective offices and provided information about Amendment 3. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the conversation!

Women’s Equality Day: “Votes for Women”
In honor of Women’s Equality Day, we’re highlighting a piece of local history in downtown West Palm Beach.

On March 8, 1917, members of the Palm Beach County Equal Suffrage League and their supporters marched through downtown West Palm Beach to advocate for women’s voting rights.

A historical marker commemorating the parade now stands near the fountains at Clematis Street and Narcissus Avenue. It was dedicated in 2021 as part of the National Votes for Women Trail and can be found near 100 N. Clematis Street.
