The Windsor Human Relations Commission invites you to join the discussion of this year's 2026 One Book, One Windsor selection on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the Windsor Public Library.

There There, by Tommy Orange, follows a large cast of Native Americans living in the Oakland, California area and weaves together stories and essays exploring Native American history, identity, and contemporary life.

Come share your thoughts and enjoy an engaging conversation! Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Have a craft project in mind, but not sure where to start? Our Makerspace Librarian Carmela Pham will have one-on-one appointments on the third Thursday of every month between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the Windsor Public Library. These one on one appointments will take place on Thursday, December 18.

During your hour long one-on-one appointment, you will be given basic understanding and use of the machine (if using one), guided instruction through each step of the project, and information on the best methods and practices with the use of the Makerspace and its materials.

Pamela Gray from Winter Bee Garden in Ledyard will conduct a workshop on how to create the perfect arrangement of autumn flowers at the Windsor Public Library on Saturday, October 4. Participants learn the five elements in creating a stunning market bouquet, then build their own arrangements. This program will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Daughters of the American Revolution will be at the Windsor Public Library for a special storytime celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00 PM. We'll read a story and do a craft. Recommended for ages 4 to 7.

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All teen and adult readers are welcome and it's BYOBook (or browse the Windsor Public Library shelves!). Settle in for about 45 minutes of silent, sustained reading. At the end of this time, attendees can socialize—or not! The next Silent Book Club will be on Monday, April 7 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the Adult Fiction area. No registration required.
