This exhibition of Austrian artist 🇦🇹 🎨 Dominika Glogowski, supported by the Austrian Embassy, brings together photography 📸, video 🎥 and sound works 🔊 exploring the deep underground through themes of resource extraction, CO₂ sequestration and art-science experiments 🔬🎨 developed with Montanuniversität Leoben.

In this session of the “Living and Working in Austria” series we will show easy ways to learn German by introducing free websites 🌐 (Sprachportal, Deutsch.info) and innovative learning apps 📱(DERDIEDAS-App and deutsch.Intro-App) to you. You will also get some tips for using Austrian newspapers, radio and television stations for learning German. Furthermore, we will explain the online course offers of Österreich Institut.

📢 Open call for the ,,GO STYRIA RESEARCH GRANT – Summer Semester 2027”

Are you a Master’s student, PhD candidate, or Post-Doc interested in a short-term research stay in Graz? The GO STYRIA Research Grant offers the opportunity to conduct research at the University of Graz during the summer semester 2027.

Open to applicants from:

Kosovo 🇽🇰, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey.

📅 Research period:
1 or 2 months during summer semester 2027
(Earliest possible start: February 2027)

WHO CAN APPLY?
Master & Doctoral Students:
• Currently enrolled at an accredited university in the target region
• Will remain enrolled in 2026/27
• Already working on their Master’s or doctoral thesis
Post-Docs:
• Academic staff members at an accredited university in the target region
• PhD completed within the last 3 years at the time of application

📌 Important Dates:
• Information for application tool access (Master/PhD students): by 7 October 2026
• Online info session: 24 June 2026 at 2:00 PM CET
• Application deadline: 12 October 2026 at 1:00 PM CET
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to carry out research at the University of Graz and continue their academic work at their home institutions.

Lisa Horvath’s “ZOE” propelled the audience into a world where humans, machines and nature communicate 🤖🌿 and the boundaries between species dissolve.

A visit to Prizren to one of the five Austrian Language Diploma (ÖSD) testing centers 📝in Kosovo. Approximately 900 candidates take officially certified German language exams ✍️at various levels here each year.

🇦🇹 Sot, më 21.05.2026, në ambientet e Shkollës së Gjuhëve URA dhe të Qendrës së Provimeve ÖSD në Prizren, qëndroi për vizitë Ambasadori i Austrisë në Kosovë, Mag. Georg Schnetzer. Në shoqëri të ambasadorit ishte edhe përfaqësuesi i ÖSD nga Austria, z. Lazim Ahmedi.

Mysafirët u pritën nga udhëheqësi i shkollës dhe kryesuesi i provimeve, prof. Neki Jahaj, së bashku me Mag. Verena Walzl dhe bashkëpunëtorët e tjerë.

Gjatë vizitës, ambasadori u informua nga afër për veprimtarinë dhe punën e përditshme të shkollës, organizimin e kurseve të gjuhës gjermane 🇩🇪, si dhe funksionimin e Qendrës së Provimeve ÖSD në Prizren, e cila tashmë ka një rol të rëndësishëm në përgatitjen dhe certifikimin gjuhësor të kandidatëve në rajon.

Në kuadër të takimit u diskutua edhe për rëndësinë e bashkëpunimit kulturor dhe arsimor ndërmjet Kosovës dhe Austrisë, si dhe për interesimin në rritje të të rinjve për mësimin e gjuhës gjermane.

Ambasadori pati rastin të njihet më shumë edhe me jetën kulturore dhe historinë e qytetit të Prizrenit, duke vlerësuar diversitetin dhe trashëgiminë e pasur kulturore të tij.
