🇦🇹 Austria at the 25th edition of Dokufest

Our DHoM, Clarissa Castek, attended the special anniversary edition of Dokufest in Prizren and had the chance to watch the movie 🎬 “London” by Austrian filmmaker Sebastian Brameshuber, which tells the story of Bobby, a driver 🚕 who spends his days travelling between Vienna and Salzburg, picking up passengers and sharing conversations along the way. At the screening, Brameshuber shared insights into his unique style of blending documentary and fiction, exploring humanity, kindness and connection in the spaces in between.

While in Prizren our DHoM also met Austria-based filmmaker Alberta Sinani, whose first film 📽️ “3 Generations” features in the Balkan Short Dox category of the festival.

Austria 🇦🇹 is represented at Dokufest this year with five films in total and two distinguished Jury members.

As long-term partner of the festival, the Austrian Embassy is thrilled to celebrate 25 years of DokuFest!

Ambassador Georg Schnetzer met with Ardian Gjini, the Chairman oft the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

The discussions focused on the latest developments in Kosovo, particularly on the political momentum after the elections 🗳️ of the 7th July.

The Ambassador underlined the importance of overcoming the institutional deadlock and of reaching a compromise to form stable institutions as soon as possible.

Oko 50 mladih iz Parteša i Klokota okupilo se kako bi razgovarali o izazovima sa kojima se suočavaju u svojim zajednicama i pronašli konkretna rešenja za njih.

Kroz UPSHIFT radili su u timovima, razmenjivali ideje i pokazali da imaju volju i energiju da pokrenu pozitivne promene.
Uz podršku Austrijske razvojne agencije 🇦🇹, ovi mladi šalju jasnu poruku: ne čekaju da neko drugi preduzme akciju – sami preuzimaju inicijativu. 💙

Not even the summer heat can stop them 🔥

Around 50 young people from Parteš and Klokot came together to discuss the challenges they face in their communities and explore practical ways to address them.

Through UPSHIFT, they worked in teams, shared ideas, and showed their motivation and energy to create positive change.

With the support of the Austrian Development Agency 🇦🇹, these young people are sending a clear message: they’re not waiting for someone else to take action—they’re taking the initiative themselves. 💙

Last week, the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs hosted political consultations between Austria 🇦🇹 and Kosovo 🇽🇰

These regular meetings offer a valuable opportunity to take stock of current issues and priorities, with the aim of strengthening the bilateral relationship.

On the sidelines of the consultations, Austria and Kosovo signed a new Memorandum of Understanding ✍️, enabling eligible family members of diplomatic and consular personnel to pursue employment during their service in the host country.
