Hi soccer families,

With the current heat, along with thunderstorm and wind warnings in effect, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s session.

This is not a decision we take lightly, but it is made with everyone’s safety in mind. We do not want to risk anyone being in a situation where they could potentially get hurt or where we are rushing to pack up in unsafe conditions.

Please note this does not mean your child is losing a class. We will add this session to the end of the program, so everything will simply be pushed back one week.

I wanted to make this call early so no one is already on their way out the door.

I will begin sending out messages and emails as well. If you see this via Facebook, please just send me a quick message to confirm you’ve received it so I don’t send duplicate messages where it’s not needed.

Thank you everyone for your understanding—this was not an easy decision, but it is the right one for safety.

I am aware of the current forecasted weather conditions. At this time, I am not going to make any decisions as there is still a chance we could be completely in the clear.

Please ensure your child brings extra water.

Hello soccer families! ⚽️

I just got the confirmation Little Rascals Soccer has officially been selected to play at the field at Parkview Public School! I’ll be sending out the exact address and a photo shortly so everyone knows where to go.

We’ve been finalizing teams as the last payments have come in thank you for that! We’re excited to get everything started.

Jersey Pickup:

Jerseys will be handed out next Tuesday evening at the Parkview Public School field if weather is not on our side I will have another location. I will be messaging each of you individually with specific time. If you can’t make it that night, no worries your child will receive their jersey on the first night.

Season Start:

I’ve been checking the fields and they’re drying up nicely, so we’re aiming to start the second week of May.

Start Date: Tuesday, May 12

Group 1: 5:30 PM – 6:15 PM 

Group 2: 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Hello Soccer Families,

If you have completed your payment, you should have received a confirmation message. If you have not yet made payment, or used a different name when paying, a reminder has been sent.

If you have decided not to participate this season, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to a family on the waitlist.

We are aiming to start the second Tuesday in May (weather dependent), as we need the fields to dry up. We expect an update from CKL next week regarding field locations—once we know, we will share that information right away.

We will begin creating teams shortly. Prior to the first day of soccer, we plan to schedule a time for families to meet and pick up jerseys. More details on this will be coming soon.

We are receiving multiple screen shots, so please read carefully:

All information has already been provided in the original post, along with several updates regarding the waitlist, payment links, and jerseys (which have been received and sent for logos).

We do not have field locations at this time. This information will be provided by the City of Kawartha Lakes. As previously stated, the season will begin in May once the fields are ready, with an expected start around the second week of May.
