On the margin of the MotoGP Thailand held last weekend in Buriram, Ambassador Sipos was pleased to hand over the special Rubik Cube made on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian invention to Mr. Marco Bezzecchi, renowned Italian Moto GP rider, who likes to spend his free time between the races with the famous Hungarian cube created by Mr. Ernő Rubik.

Dr. Tamás Sterbenz, rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) paid an official visit to Thailand 🇭🇺🇹🇭

During his two-day stay, Dr. Sterbenz met the representatives of three different Thai universities 📖👨🏻‍🎓 At Mahidol University the Rector was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council. During the meeting the parties renewed the Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.

A Letter of Intent was also signed with Prof. Dr. Sarinthip Tanthani, rector of Naresuan University at our Embassy.

The third meeting took place at the Thailand National Sports University where Mr. Vissanu Laichapis, rector of the institution welcomed Dr. Sterbenz.

Besides strengthening the partnership and cooperation between the universities, a meeting also took place with Pojjana Paniangvait, President of the Hungarian-Thai Chamber of Commerce during which a Certificate of Representation for promoting the HUSS courses for Thai students was handed over by the Rector. Dr. Sterbenz also had a working lunch with Mr. Thanach Assawanapakas, Deputy Secretary General of Badminton Association of Thailand in order to explore possible future sport cooperations 🏸

In the footsteps of Bartók - Solo concert by Kriszta Kováts 🎹🎤🎶
On the 30th of January we had the pleasure to hear the solo performance from renowned Hungarian actress-singer Ms. Kriszta Kováts at BJC Headquarters’ concert hall. The concert focused on introducing the heritage of Béla Bartók, famous Hungarian composer, folk song collector, who passed away 80 years ago, in 1945. Special highlights of the evening were the folk song duets performed by Ms. Kriszta and Mr. Pathorn Swasdisuk, former Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme student 🙌🏼
Our special thanks goes to Hungarian textil artist, Ms. Andrea Ruttka for the unique stage decoration, designed especially for this event and to CEO-President Aswin Techajareonvikul as well as the whole BJC team for contributing to making our event come true👏🏻

Every year we gather with the Hungarian community in Thailand in order to give an account on our achievements during the previous year as well as to cheer for the New Year with some unique Hungarian wine and traditional food like goulash soup and bejgli.
