On Wednesday, we visited Grand Halal Bangkok 2026, and yesterday, the journey continued at Mega Halal Bangkok 2026. 🤝

Having the opportunity to attend two major Halal exhibitions in the same week gave us a broader perspective on the industry's rapid development. It is clear that Thailand's Halal sector is gaining strong momentum, attracting businesses, innovators, and buyers from around the world. 🌏

More than just trade exhibitions, these events serve as valuable platforms for knowledge exchange, business networking, and international partnerships. As we continue to expand our product offerings to Thailand and other ASEAN markets, we plan to build on our initial success by exploring opportunities within the Halal ecosystem. Peruvian Superfoods are natural fits for Halal consumers both for production quality and production methods.

Today, we had the pleasure of visiting Grand Halal Bangkok 2026, one of Thailand’s leading exhibitions dedicated to the Halal industry, bringing together businesses, institutions, and stakeholders from across the Halal ecosystem here in Thailand and beyond. 🌏✨

During our visit, we were honored to meet with Mr. Khathawut Lohmud, Head of International and Public Relations, Halal Affairs Department of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT). The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange views on Thailand’s Halal regulatory framework, the recognition of Halal certifications, and potential avenues to facilitate the entry and promotion of Peruvian Halal products in the Thai market. 🌿📋

We sincerely appreciate Mr. Khathawut for sharing valuable insights that will help strengthen future cooperation between Peru and Thailand in the Halal sector.

Another exciting step in strengthening trade opportunities between Peru and Thailand! 🇵🇪🤝🇹🇭

Today, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Kenta Watanabe, representative of Umios (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a Japanese fishery and trading company based in Bangkok. 🐟

During the meeting, we discussed the introduction of Peruvian Conger Eel from SAKANA DEL PERÚ S.A., one of the Umios Group companies based in Peru, to the Thai market. Beyond Japanese restaurants 🍣, we see strong potential for this premium seafood product in Thailand's growing seafood industry. 🌊📈

We are also delighted to congratulate SAKANA DEL PERÚ S.A. on achieving the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody Certification for its Peruvian Conger Eel products. 🌍✅ This internationally recognized certification reflects the company's commitment to sustainable and responsible seafood sourcing while providing greater confidence to customers and business partners. ♻️🐠

THAIFEX - Anuga Asia 2026 doesn’t end when the doors close. Sure we grew in sales at nearly 50% yet again, but that’s merely when the real momentum begins.

From demos and tastings of products, we saw potential to deep dives into trends and demand that we then use to bring new products at next years' show. Every follow-up turns opportunity into action. What starts as a conversation before/at/after THAIFEX evolves into partnerships, new product launches, and stronger market presence for Superfoods Peru, Supersnacks and PROMPERU ASEAN.

Today, we’re building on connections made related to THAIFEX, meeting with Khun Methas, Chief Marketing Officer of Chailai Intertrade Co., Ltd., a potential new importer ready to bring Peruvian supersnacks closer to Thai consumers via all channels. 🚀

This is how Peru and Superfoods Peru grow in the region continuously, strategically, and with purpose. That growth doesn't come from simply showing up with great products to help you live a healthier, more natural, stronger lifestyle; it develops over time with effort, information and promotions. 🇵🇪🤝🇹🇭 Strengthening Peru–Thailand trade ties through firsthand experience.

Today, our Director had the pleasure of meeting with Ms. Ritu Ahluwalia, Head of Global Procurement & Partnerships at Flora Capital, Thailand, following her recent participation in Expo Perú Sur 2026, where she joined a business mission to southern Peru organized by PROMPERÚ.

During the meeting, Ms. Ahluwalia shared positive feedback on the programme, highlighting the value of combining site visits to production and export facilities, structured B2B meetings with Peruvian exporters, and cultural immersion experiences. According to her, this comprehensive approach provided a deeper understanding of Peru’s products, supply chains, and regional strengths beyond what a conventional trade event can offer.

She also noted Peru’s strong global position in fresh produce categories such as avocados and blueberries, as well as the potential for future opportunities in products such as pomegranates. From a Thai market perspective, she emphasized the promising potential for greater commercial engagement between Peruvian exporters and Thai importers.

We are grateful for Flora Capital’s participation in Expo Perú Sur 2026 and look forward to continuing to build bridges between Peruvian exporters and international buyers.
