วันนี้ (27 ก.ค.) นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะกรรมการระดับชาติเพื่อเตรียมการจัดการประชุมประจำปีสภาผู้ว่าการธนาคารโลกและกองทุนการเงินระหว่างประเทศ ปี 2569 ครั้งที่ 2/2569 โดยมี ดร. เอกนิติ นิติทัณฑ์ประภาศ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง เป็นรองประธาน ณ ตึกภักดีบดินทร์ ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
นายวินิจ วิเศษสุวรรณภูมิ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการคลัง ได้รายงานให้ที่ประชุมรับทราบความคืบหน้าการดำเนินงานของคณะอนุกรรมการทั้ง 3 คณะ ที่ช่วยสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานเตรียมการเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุมประจำปีฯ ได้แก่
1. คณะอนุกรรมการด้านสารัตถะ ซึ่งได้รายงานความคืบหน้าการดำเนินงานภายใต้ธีมของประเทศเจ้าภาพ “Thailand’s New Horizons: Empowering People, Building Resilience” และการจัดนิทรรศการ Thailand Pavilion พร้อมทั้งเห็นชอบการจัดกิจกรรมด้านสารัตถะของประเทศไทยซึ่งเป็นการจัดเสวนาระดับสูงของประเทศไทยในฐานะประเทศเจ้าภาพ (High-Level Thailand Host Events) ประกอบด้วย 2 กิจกรรม ได้แก่ Building Resilience in a Fragmented World และ Financing a Resilient Green Economy
2. คณะอนุกรรมการด้านพิธีการและอำนวยการ ซึ่งที่ประชุมได้รับทราบแนวทางการสื่อสารด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์การเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุมประจำปีฯ ร่างรายชื่อแขกรับเชิญเพื่อเข้าร่วมการประชุมหลัก (Plenary Meeting) และงานเลี้ยงรับรองของรัฐบาลไทย (Host Government Reception) การแต่งตั้งคณะทำงานด้านการรักษาความมั่นคงปลอดภัยทางไซเบอร์ รวมทั้งการขอใช้พื้นที่เพื่อติดตั้งสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์การประชุมประจำปีฯ
3. คณะอนุกรรมการด้านการรักษาความปลอดภัย การจราจร และสาธารณสุข ซึ่งที่ประชุมได้รับทราบการจัดทำแผนรักษาความปลอดภัย แผนการจราจร แผนเผชิญเหตุ และแผนด้านการแพทย์และสาธารณสุข เพื่อรองรับการจัดการประชุมประจำปีฯ
นอกจากนี้ นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย ได้กล่าวขอบคุณคณะกรรมการและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทุกหน่วยงานที่ร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนการเตรียมความพร้อม พร้อมเน้นย้ำว่าเหลือเวลาอีกเพียง 77 วัน ก่อนการประชุมประจำปีฯ จะเริ่มขึ้น จึงขอให้ทุกหน่วยงานเร่งรัดการดำเนินงานตามแผน เตรียมความพร้อมในทุกมิติ ทั้งด้านสารัตถะ พิธีการ การรักษาความปลอดภัย การอำนวยความสะดวก การประชาสัมพันธ์ และการบริหารจัดการโดยรวม เพื่อให้ประเทศไทยสามารถเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุมประจำปีฯ ได้อย่างเรียบร้อย สมเกียรติ และสร้างความประทับใจแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจากทั่วโลก

Today (27 July), Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, chaired the second meeting of the National Committee for the Preparation of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, served as Vice Chair. The meeting was held at Phakdibodin Building, Government House.
Mr. Winij Wisetsuwannaphum, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office, reported on the progress made by the three subcommittees supporting Thailand's preparations to host the Annual Meetings:
The Content Subcommittee reported progress under the host country's theme, "Thailand's New Horizons: Empowering People, Building Resilience," as well as preparations for the Thailand Pavilion exhibition. The committee also approved Thailand's host-country high-level events, consisting of two sessions:
Building Resilience in a Fragmented World
Financing a Resilient Green Economy
The Protocol and Administration Subcommittee updated the committee on the communications and public relations strategy for the Annual Meetings, the draft guest list for the Plenary Meeting and the Host Government Reception, the appointment of a cybersecurity task force, and the request to use public spaces for conference publicity.
The Security, Traffic, and Public Health Subcommittee reported on the development of security, traffic management, emergency response, and medical and public health plans to support the Annual Meetings.
In addition, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior expressed appreciation to all committee members and relevant agencies for their efforts in advancing the preparations. He emphasized that only 77 days remain before the Annual Meetings commence and urged all agencies to accelerate implementation according to plan. He called for comprehensive preparedness in every aspect including substantive content, protocol, security, facilitation, public relations, and overall event management to ensure that Thailand hosts the Annual Meetings successfully, with distinction, and leaves a lasting positive impression on participants from around the world.
