Putting Alaska energy opportunities front and center with a global audience. 🌎

AEA attended the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit last week in National Harbor, Maryland, and joined Team Alaska at the state’s exhibition booth, hosted by the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community & Economic Development, for meetings with prospective partners.

At the summit, we underscored the importance of major energy infrastructure investments needed to strengthen the state’s interconnected energy systems and support reliable, affordable energy statewide. AEA highlighted initiatives advancing this work—including expansion of the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project, development of the Cook Inlet PowerLink to create transmission redundancy and improve Railbelt reliability, upgrades to aging transmission infrastructure, continued investment in rural power systems and bulk fuel facilities essential to maintaining heat, power, and other essential services in rural communities.

Collectively, these efforts reflect AEA's focus on building durable, long‑term energy systems that support economic growth, community reliability, and future investment
