🎨Arts and Crafts🎨

Did you know, crafting in many ways is beneficial to our elderly members?

It isn’t always easy for them but when they decide to put their minds into their work coupled with our positive affirmations and motivational input, the hands they have had a hard time moving, moves just a little more.

At the end, it may not be perfect but they’re able to see THEIR progress! The increase in their dexterity or perhaps it’s the increase in motor control… they see and feel it all!

We may not be able to change everything, but what we can we will!!

And us? We just continue to be proud and happy for and with them! They go home with a sense of accomplishment or we beg them to let us hang it up on our wall! ☺️

🥳We’re open in PALMER🥳

Today marks another monumental step for Lifeworks AK! We have officially opened our Palmer location! We are excited to keep you all informed about the many exciting plans and activities that will be hosted there!

Our valley staff is ready and excited to operate both locations! If anything, for sure our members enjoyment and enrichment will always be our first priority!

Today we got to see some new faces and some faces we haven’t seen in a while! So it was a great day!

Our Palmer staff reported today being an extremely exceptional day as every member was super involved in the activities provided for them!

🎨Arts and Craft🖌️

We have had quite the regenerating week after our big Mothers Day party! This week we quickly dove into our arts and craft, excursions and planning for more parties and fun!

Our members created awesome pinwheels to add to their ALH spring gardens!

They also made Survival “Tiki” necklaces and we enchanted them with all of our positive affirmations and best wishes for our members!

We drove around with the sole purpose of looking for spring and we luckily were able to find small clues( like cute little birds and squirrels!)

We have some amazing activities coming up next week and we look forward to sharing them all but in the mean time… have a great weekend!

What a week it's been here at LifeWorks! 🌿 We've been soaking up all the beauty this incredible state has to offer — from wildlife sightings to hands-on fun, every day has been an adventure! 🦌 This week we spotted some of Alaska's most iconic wildlife right in our backyard — a majestic moose, cheerful robins singing their spring songs, and a sneaky fox making the rounds! 💨 We also put our creativity to work building windmills — turning a little wind into a whole lot of wonder. 🐸 Things got rowdy (and hilarious) at our frog jumping competition! Who knew frogs could be such fierce competitors? 🎨 And we wrapped things up with some gorgeous glue art — beautiful, unpredictable, and totally one-of-a-kind, just like Alaska itself. Every day up here is a gift. Stay tuned for more from our wild corner of the world! 🏔️

🌼Mothers Day (Staff Edition)🌼

We are so blessed to have our staff who continue to put in work throughout the week! These are some of the most caring, loving, funny, exciting, and all around dedicated women and then after work they continue it all at home as mothers/ wives/ single moms/ dog moms etc.

We hope they continue to know we love them and that we are so grateful that we are able to celebrate you all! It is seriously deserved❤️

🌸Mothers Day🌸

What a remarkable turnout we had as we took the entirety of the afternoon hours to celebrate Mothers Day with our members.

Today we took time to recognize and to reaffirm to these sweet souls just how important the role of being a mother is!

We operated 3 outstanding activities,
•Jewelry making💍
•Photobooth and Frame Decorating
• Ice Cream Social

We also created a tradition several years ago to hand out flowers to our mothers and this year, they each received a Tulip! Representing resilience, lasting love and charity. These are qualities many of our mothers share with these fresh flowers.

Beginning with a shout of, “Happy Mothers Day!”, we begin an afternooon of fun- filled, ice cream eating enjoyment❤️

We hope you all have a great weekend and especially, an amazing and Happy Mothers Day!
