We would like to take a moment to highlight a member of our team here at The Delaware Department of Insurance. After 22 years with the Department, Susan Jennette is trading in her meetings and emails for relaxation and retirement.

Susan joined the Department in June 2004 and quickly became known for her wisdom, kindness, humor, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Over the course of more than two decades with the Department, she worked her way up to become the Director of Insurance Consumer Protection Enforcement. While we are excited for Susan as she begins this exciting new chapter, she will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of working with her.

Please join us in congratulating Susan on her retirement and thanking her time with the Department. We wish you nothing but happiness, relaxation, and many wonderful memories ahead, Susan!

Did you Know? Following the implementation of Senate Bill 71 (SB 71) earlier this year, Delaware Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro is issuing a reminder to Medicare beneficiaries regarding their expanded rights and new enrollment opportunities.

As the 2026 calendar year progresses, many Delawareans are approaching their first “Birthday Rule” window, a critical period that allows for plan adjustments without medical hurdles.
