The Delaware State Police continue to investigate the bank robbery that occurred Saturday morning at WSFS Bank in Rehoboth Beach. Detectives are providing images and are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

The DSP Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone who has any information in regard to the investigation to contact Detective L. Coleman at (302) 752-3813. The Delaware Capitol Police are excited to introduce the newest member of our team — Harry, our Facility K9, along with his handler, Cpl. Gigliotti! 🐶💙

Harry has officially completed his training and is ready to begin his important work throughout the Delaware Capitol Police community. His mission is simple but meaningful: to bring comfort, connection, and a little extra joy to the people he meets.

Harry is friendly, approachable, and VERY excited to meet new people! Whether he’s visiting with our officers and staff or making new friends in the community, we know Harry will quickly become a favorite wherever he goes.

In honor of National Preparedness Month, the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) will host the 20th Annual Family Emergency Preparedness Day, Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brecknock County Park, 80 Old Camden Road in Camden, Delaware.

This free, family-friendly event will bring together over 40 different public safety agencies, nonprofits, and other community partners to help Delawareans of all ages learn how to prepare for emergencies while connecting with people and organizations that help to keep Delaware safe.

In accordance with President Trump’s order and as a mark of respect for the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, Governor Matt Meyer has ordered that both the American and Delaware flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities for a one-week period, beginning August 25, 2026.
