Please join us in welcoming Michael to the Kent County Public Works team as our newest Maintenance Mechanic I! 👷‍♂️🔧

Michael will play an important role in supporting the operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment plant and pumping stations. His responsibilities include performing mechanical repairs, maintaining equipment, operating sewer jet/vacuum trucks, servicing automotive equipment, assisting with pump station maintenance, and helping ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and running efficiently.

We are excited to have Michael on board and look forward to the contributions he will make to our community.

Did you know the County’s Collection Maintenance Team maintains a sewer conveyance system consisting of 205 miles of force-main piping, 304 miles of gravity piping, and 107 pumping and lift stations? We are proud of our hard-working employees as they work on this system all year long. They are on the scene responding to breaks in the line or just answering residents questions.
