Update: Pardon our noise! Our De Pere Facility’s solids building demolition is continuing! In order to finish up before Wisconsin’s winter sets in, work will occur over the upcoming Saturdays. Why are we doing this work? The building is no longer needed for solids disposal, and represents an extensive maintenance and operating cost burden. Wastewater is comprised of more than 99% liquids and less than 1% solid matter. To streamline operations, solids are shipped to our Green Bay Facility via an interplant forcemain. Thank you for your patience as we continue to provide nonstop services to our community! Want to learn more about how we clean water? Take a virtual tour: https://hubs.ly/H0yj_nc0

A great way to close out National Preparedness Month. You may not be able to tell, but we are all smiling. The US National Weather Service Green Bay Wisconsin came to our office to award us with a Certificate of Recognition for creating www.FloodinginBC.com, facilitating flood preparedness meetings with community members, creating a flood preparedness mailer, and partaking in multiple presentations on high water levels in our region. These efforts have helped us be recognized as a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador to the National Weather Service. A big thank you to all of our community partners and stakeholders. Without you, our efforts would be for nothing. We wouldn't have people attending our meetings, presentations, and steering traffic to the website without your participation, so thank you all.

In March of last year, a massive amount of melted snow and heavy rain led to extreme flooding along the East River and 50 homes being condemned. But thanks to a new partnership, the communities in this imperative watershed are coming together to reduce risk and foster resiliency for future weather events.

We're proud to support this vital work with University of Wisconsin Sea Grant/Water Resources Institutes, Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District - NEW Water, and The Nature Conservancy in Wisconsin. What a team!
