Olivia* is 8 years old, and her parents are battling addiction. After watching them spiral downward and lose the ability to care for her, she entered the foster care system. In an instant, her world was turned upside-down.

New faces. New names. New routines. New, everything. That is a heavy burden for a child to carry alone.

But Olivia is not alone.

She has a CASA volunteer advocating for her changing needs and best interests while her parents get the help they need so she can safely return home one day.

You can ensure children like Olivia have caring CASA volunteers by their side with a donation today. Your investment helps us recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers to advocate for more abused and neglected children under court protection in Brown County.

Corey Linsley is Packers’ nominee for Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award

Congratulations to Corey Linsley for being recognized as a 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award Nominee for his incredible work with CASA of Brown County!

Corey and Anna Linsley have been passionate supporters of CASA of Brown County since 2017 when they applied to become advocates to help make a difference in the lives of children under court protection due to abuse and/or neglect. They completed CASA pre-service training together and were sworn in to advocate for a sibling group through 2018.

CASA volunteers are very often the only consistent adults in the lives of abused and neglected children, many of whom are in foster care. Corey and Anna know firsthand from experience as CASA advocates that a caring, consistent adult can help build resilience, hope, and make a lasting impact.

Since 2017, Corey and Anna have also served as honorary co-chairs of our annual CASA Presents: Champions for Children special event that raises awareness of the CASA Program and much needed funds to sustain our child advocacy program.

For all of us at CASA of Brown County, it is a privilege to work with Team Linsley! They care deeply about all children and our community and we are so grateful for their support. #WPMOY #ItTakesAllOfUs #ChangeAChildsStory

After watching his mother struggle with alcohol and lose the ability to care for him, 13-year-old David* entered the foster care system.

In just the last 4 years, he has been placed in 9 different foster homes. He is never sure how long he will stay or where he will go next. This uncertainty has only increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The one constant in David’s life is his CASA volunteer. Through every transition, his CASA volunteer has been there to support him and advocate for his best interests.

You can ensure children like David have caring CASA volunteers by their side with a donation today. Your investment helps us recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers to advocate for more abused and neglected children under court protection in Brown County.

Hi everyone! Did you know that October 11th was International Day of the Girl? CASA of Brown County currently serves 92 young girls and strives to promote empowering our youth. Take a look at this flyer to learn more about the International Day of the Girl. Consider completing the Declaration of Intention activity linked below with your youth during your next virtual visit to get a conversation started about self worth. Thank you for all that you do to be a voice and role model for young girls in our community! ❤️
Visit www.advancingparenting.org. Use a computer...our website is not optimized for phones. We are all about the primary prevention of the adverse childhood experiences associated with unsupportive and harmful parenting. Specifically, we find interesting and perhaps more effective ways of educating everyone about parenting. 🙂
