This is Natasha's story.โค๏ธ She recently shared the following about her journey so far as a CASA volunteer.

"I just started my CASA journey with my kiddos in end of December but we are getting in the swing of things now and itโ€™s been such a neat and humbling experience!

I bring my same bag each week now so they are excitedly awaiting my arrival. My own kids actually have found joy in helping me pack that bag each week. Thanks to Hattie for helping me come up with the thought of being able to share with my kids what I play with the kids so that they somewhat understand what mom is doing when I 'go visit my CASA kids.'

Tonight when I got home, my kids were shouting 'Mom! How was your CASA visit?!' They love hearing what their own mom gets to do with some other special kids.

This is a pretty amazing program to be a part of."

We love how CASA volunteers find unique ways to connect with their CASA kids, like having their own kids help pick games and activities for visits. Thanks for sharing how you , Natasha. โค๏ธ

Every 45 seconds, a child enters foster care. Most children will have multiple foster homes and schools, through no fault of their own. All of this is on top of dealing with the trauma of abuse or neglect.

CASA volunteers help improve the odds for children and make a life-changing impact as a consistent presence in their lives.๐Ÿ™Œ

You can give the gift of a CASA volunteer to a child who needs one. ๐Ÿ’ There is still time to make a difference in 2022.

Hi everyone! Did you know that October 11th was International Day of the Girl? CASA of Brown County currently serves 92 young girls and strives to promote empowering our youth. Take a look at this flyer to learn more about the International Day of the Girl. Consider completing the Declaration of Intention activity linked below with your youth during your next virtual visit to get a conversation started about self worth.

Thank you for all that you do to be a voice and role model for young girls in our community! โค๏ธ
