❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You to the Management and Pupils of British International School ❤️

The Sick Pikin Project extends its sincere appreciation to the Management and Pupils of British International School for your incredible thoughtfulness and compassion.

We are deeply grateful for your generous donation of NLe 5,290, raised through your charity football match against Ayoub School in support of a worthy cause. We are truly honoured that the Sick Pikin Project was chosen as the beneficiary of the funds raised.

Your kindness is a beautiful reminder that every act of giving, no matter the age, has the power to change lives. Your contribution will help us continue providing vulnerable children in Sierra Leone with access to lifesaving medical care and the hope of a healthier future.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for demonstrating that compassion, teamwork, and community spirit can make a lasting impact. Together, we are giving children a second chance at life.

From all of us at the Sick Pikin Project, thank you for standing with us and for making a difference. We are truly grateful. 💙🙏

Some testimonies are visible and undeniable. God is a practical God!

This is baby Mustapha, who was left with a swollen belly after surgery. There were moments when the situation looked hopeless, but God had the final say.

First, God blessed him with a strong, resilient, and faith-filled mother who refused to give up on her child. Then His grace and mercy began to unfold in ways only He can. Thank you all for your love and supports. Humanity showed true strength and together we did it.

Today, we celebrate and testify to the goodness of God in Mustapha’s life. From being a very sick child with little hope to now becoming a boy full of strength, power, joy, and a promising future, his life is a living testimony that God still works miracles.

What God has done for Mustapha, He can do for others. All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone.

The Shri Gurudwara Sahib Lumley, comprising Indian Merchants and members of the Sikh Community in Lumley, joined hands with interns of the Sick Pikin Project to raise funds within the Lumley community in support of children living with serious medical conditions.

This laudable humanitarian initiative, led by Mohinder Bir Singh Sachdeva, CEO of Jeety Trading Company, reflects continued commitment to supporting vulnerable people alongside his usual Saturday feeding program.

The sum of NLe 2,150 was raised.

Such acts of kindness and community service continue to bring hope and relief to many children and their families.

Measles is putting children in Sierra Leone at risk.

Between January and April 2026, 41 measles cases were reported across eight districts, with the highest number in Freetown. Most concerning is that measles spreads quickly among children and can lead to serious complications such as pneumonia, blindness, malnutrition, and even death.

Every child deserves protection. The measles vaccine is safe, effective, and available free of charge. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to ensure children receive both recommended doses.

If a child develops fever, rash, red eyes, runny nose, or cough, seek medical care immediately.

Protecting children from measles is protecting their right to survive and thrive.

Medical Update: One Success Down, One to Go for Ramatu!

We are thrilled to announce that Ramatu’s first-stage surgery was a success, thanks to the expertise of Dr. Kamara and Dr. Wongo. Our deepest gratitude goes to God, our medical team, and our incredible donors, with special thanks to Chief Minister David Moinina Sengbeh and Haja Rashida her family and her friends in the Netherlands for their vital support, S*K online Television.

The Final Hurdle

Ramatu’s journey isn't over. Her second and final surgery is scheduled in exactly three weeks.
We urgently need to raise additional funds to cover this final operation and her post-operative care. Ramatu has been incredibly brave, and with your help, we can cross the finish line together.

New Goal: We still need to raise approximately $1,050 (NLe 26,000 approx).

Thank you for your unwavering kindness. Together, we can give Ramatu the healthy future she deserves. 🙏
