Ride for Honor. Ride for those who can't. Come and join us. New events and initiatives always have a period of time in the beginning where they are akin to awkward and uncoordinated infants. It takes a few rounds before they take shape, come together and flourish. This event is no different, now in its third year, it needs your early support and participation more than ever. So come and help shape this event into what it is meant to become!

From the time that I organized the first EMS Memorial Service at the State EMS Conference back in the '80s, I have worked and fought for an EMS LODD Memorial at the Statehouse. We are getting closer to building it every year. I need your help. You can donate your time and money by supporting the EMS Memorial Poker Run, out of Vincennes on September 12. If you come in the night before, I recommend the Holiday Inn Express. Call 812 886-6333 for a reservation. Talk this up to your biker friends or Jeepsters. Help the IEMSA build the memorial. Indiana lost 2 EMS providers in the Line of Duty in 2025, another in 2026 already. Since we have tracked records on this, there are 55 Hoosiers who gave their lives. 55 families who gave us their loved ones... and we have had to honor them in Kentucky or DC. That needs to change, and we need your help to do that.

Join us September 12th @ 9am, at Greg Park in Beautiful Southern Indiana.

🚑 55 names. 55 lives of service. One memorial still waiting to be completed.

The Indiana EMS Memorial Poker Run is about more than motorcycles and a day on the road. It is about ensuring that Indiana's EMS professionals have a permanent place of honor alongside our state's fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters.

Tonight, several members of the Indiana EMS Association Board of Directors had the privilege of attending the Supporting Heroes Gala in Owensboro, Kentucky.

The evening was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our nation's first responders as we honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

This year's event held special meaning for IEMSA as we remembered one of our own, Robert Miller, Captain/Paramedic with Phoenix Paramedic Solutions and Secretary of the Indiana EMS Association. Robert's dedication to EMS, his leadership, and his unwavering commitment to serving others continue to inspire us all.

His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the profession he loved, and the countless EMS professionals who continue to serve with the same passion and compassion he demonstrated every day.

Please join us in remembering Robert and all of our fallen heroes. They will never be forgotten.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from the Indiana EMS Association! 🇺🇸

On this Fourth of July, we celebrate the freedoms that unite us and recognize the EMS professionals across Indiana who are answering the call while many of us celebrate with family and friends.

To every EMT, Paramedic, dispatcher, educator, firefighter, nurse, physician, and emergency responder working today—thank you for your unwavering commitment to serving your communities.

As you enjoy the holiday, remember: • Celebrate responsibly. • Stay hydrated and watch for signs of heat-related illness. • Practice firework safety. • Never drive impaired.

From all of us at the Indiana EMS Association, we wish you and your families a safe, healthy, and happy Independence Day.

Thank you for your service, and Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
