Recientemente, nuestro equipo participó en una jornada de capacitación enfocada en inclusión, identidad de género, exploración personal, confidencialidad, sexualidad humana y comunicación respetuosa. A través de conversaciones abiertas, reflexión y aprendizaje compartido, fortalecimos herramientas que nos ayudan a acompañar con mayor empatía, sensibilidad y respeto a las familias y personas que servimos cada día.

Agradecemos profundamente a Red Door, RECLAIM , CLUES - Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio , OutFront Minnesota, Nichols Kaster, PLLP y a todo el equipo de Centro por compartir conocimientos, experiencias y perspectivas que enriquecen nuestro trabajo. Recently, our team participated in a professional development training focused on inclusion, gender identity, personal exploration, confidentiality, human sexuality, and respectful communication. Through meaningful conversations and shared learning, we strengthened our ability to support the individuals and families we serve with empathy, dignity, and respect.

♥️ El liderazgo no comienza cuando somos adultos. Comienza cuando alguien cree en nuestro potencial.

Recientemente, el equipo de Youth Programs de Centro Tyrone Guzman visitó Andersen United Middle School para compartir con estudiantes de 10 a 12 años qué significa trabajar por el bienestar de la comunidad a través de una organización sin fines de lucro. A través de conversaciones, dinámicas y reflexiones sobre liderazgo, servicio y metas personales, exploramos cómo cada joven puede transformar sus talentos y sueños en acciones que generen un impacto positivo.

✨ Gracias a Andersen United Middle School por abrir espacios que inspiran, fortalecen la participación y ayudan a formar a la próxima generación de líderes comprometidos con sus comunidades. ♥️

♥️ What does a nonprofit organization do, and why does it matter?

Recently, Centro Tyrone Guzman's Youth Programs team joined students ages 10 to 12 at Andersen United Middle School for an educational session about community impact, nonprofit work, and the importance of civic engagement. Students learned about our mission, the families we serve, and the many ways individuals can contribute to the wellbeing of their communities.

✨ Through interactive activities and conversations about goals, service, and community involvement, students explored how their talents, interests, and ideas can become tools for helping others and creating positive change. Thank you to Andersen United Middle School for creating opportunities that encourage young people to become active and engaged members of their communities. ♥️

Together for Good ♥️

Estamos profundamente agradecidos con Social Venture Partners Minnesota por caminar junto a nuestra comunidad en este momento de necesidad.

Gracias al liderazgo de Ellen Walthour y al compromiso de voluntarios y equipo de SVP Minnesota, realizamos una jornada comunitaria donde preparamos bolsas con alimentos, pañales, wipes y productos de higiene para familias afectadas económicamente tras Operation Metro Surge. Además, SVP Minnesota apoyó nuestra campaña de Rapid Response con fondos filantrópicos destinados a responder rápidamente a necesidades urgentes de nuestra comunidad latine en Minneapolis.

Gracias por creer en el poder de hacer el bien juntos. ♥️

We are deeply grateful to Social Venture Partners Minnesota for standing alongside our community during this moment of need.

Thanks to the leadership of Ellen Walthour and the commitment of SVP Minnesota volunteers and staff, we organized a community volunteer event to prepare bags with food, diapers, wipes, and hygiene products for families economically impacted after Operation Metro Surge. SVP Minnesota also supported our Rapid Response efforts through philanthropic funding dedicated to urgent community needs in Minneapolis.

💐 Celebramos el Día de las Madres del área metropolitana con amor, comunidad y trabajo en equipo

Este hermoso encuentro reunió a familias de toda el área metropolitana que hacen parte de programas como Siembra Montessori, Follow Along, Infant Health Improvement, Maternal Health y Home Visiting de Centro Tyrone Guzmán. ❤️

Devolviendo un poquito del amor y dedicación con el que las madres construyen y guían las nuevas generaciones de nuestra comunidad, celebramos su labor y entrega con un homenaje lleno de cariño y conexión.

Detrás de cada detalle hubo manos y corazones trabajando juntos:
🎁 Niños y niñas colaboraron preparando los regalos para las mamás con dedicación y cariño.
❤️ Seniors del departamento de Adult & Aging elaboraron corazones hechos a mano.
🍽️ Las maestras de Siembra apoyaron sirviendo alimentos a las madres participantes.
🎨 Además, disfrutamos una actividad artística guiada por Mónica Vega, donde las familias crearon hermosas casitas de pájaros como recuerdo especial de esta celebración.

Cada sonrisa, cada detalle y cada colaboración hicieron de este evento un espacio lleno de conexión, cuidado y comunidad intergeneracional. ✨

Gracias a todas las familias, niños, jóvenes, seniors y staff que hicieron posible este día tan especial para nuestras mamás. ♥️

💐 We celebrated Mother’s Day across the metro area with love, community, and teamwork.

This beautiful gathering brought together families from across the Twin Cities who are part of programs like Siembra Montessori, Follow Along, Infant Health Improvement, Maternal Health, and Home Visiting at Centro Tyrone Guzman. ♥️

Giving back a little of the love, care, and dedication with which mothers nurture and guide the next generations of our community, we honored their work and commitment through a celebration filled with connection, joy, and gratitude.

Behind every detail were hands and hearts working together:
🎁 Children helped prepare gifts for the mothers with care and love.
♥️ Seniors from our Adult & Aging department created handmade hearts.
🍽️ Siembra teachers supported by serving food to participating mothers.
🎨 Families also enjoyed a special art activity led by Mónica Vega, creating beautiful birdhouses to take home as keepsakes from this celebration.

Every smile, every detail, and every act of collaboration made this event a space filled with connection, care, and intergenerational community. ✨

Thank you to all the families, children, youth, seniors, and staff who made this day so special for our mothers. ♥️
