During National Police Week 2026 (May 10th- 16th), the North Pole Police Department proudly joins communities across the nation in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of law enforcement officers who work every day to protect and serve their communities.

National Police Week is observed to recognize the dedication of the men and women in law enforcement and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. It is a time for reflection, gratitude, and support for the families, friends, and fellow officers impacted by those losses.

We encourage our community to join us for the Police Memorial Service on Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 AM, hosted by Alaska State Troopers- D Detachment, at the Trooper Gabe Rich and Trooper Scott Johnson Memorial Park honoring the men and women of law enforcement who have fallen in the line of duty.
