Since Rhode Island launched its rental registry in the fall of 2024, a substantial amount of progress has been made.

Over 70 thousand units are registered, and 25-30 thousand lead certificates were issued in 2025!

This is huge progress for the first full year of our registry, and the goal is to get to 100% compliance to ensure lead safety in all of our state's rental housing.

Our team at Childhood Lead Action Project would like to thank you all for another year of good work.

We've reached thousands of parents and tenants and landlords and workers and worked together to increase awareness and take action to prevent lead poisoning.

We've also seen thousands of units in Rhode Island get inspected and receive lead-safe certificates this year, each of them representing another home that's safer for children.
