Work on the In-River Park continues! If you plan to enjoy the Roanoke River this summer, we've got some updated information for you.

Remember, construction is currently underway on two separate projects in this area:
🚧 Main Street Bridge
🚧 In-River Park

Due to work on the Main Street Bridge, the last take-out point before that construction zone is at Wasena Park. River users will need to exit just upstream of the In-River Park construction site (before the pedestrian bridge between Wasena and Vic Thomas Parks). Signage has been placed at the new take-out point and orange fencing surrounds the construction zone. After exiting the river, users can follow the path around the perimeter of the construction area into Wasena Park.

If you'd prefer to avoid this area altogether, you can use the brand new take-out point under Memorial Bridge. This site was constructed as part of the In-River project as well, and more details can be found at the link in our comments.

Be sure to watch the video for more information!
