Christoph Fuchs, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., opened the launch of Demokracia në Veprim Democracy in Action’s report on the 7 June parliamentary elections, welcoming the smooth conduct of the elections. At the same time, he emphasized the need for accountable democratic institutions, responsible political leadership, and election observation that turns findings into dialogue, reform and greater public trust.

Switzerland is pleased having supported Re:Connect, a collaborative documentary filmmaking project and residency developed by DokuFest and Kino Kosova, which brought together young filmmakers from Kosovo and Switzerland to explore themes and identity, shared heritage, and belonging through collaborative filmmaking.

While in Prizren for the premiere of Re:Connect, the Embassy had the pleasure of meeting the organizers of Dokufest and KinoKosova as well as Swiss filmmakers. Over lunch they shared their experiences and stories from international film festivals and other other creative initiatives.

We thank SWISS FILMS for helping establish these connections and Samir Karahoda for organizing the exchange. We wish the young filmmakers from Re:Connect, as well as their more experienced colleagues, every success in their future endeavors.

As our Head of International Cooperation, Beate Katja Elsässer, comes to the end of her mission in Kosovo, we would like to thank her for her dedication, kindness, and commitment throughout these past years.

Her work has been about much more than programmes and partnerships. It has been about the people she met, the relationships she built, and the trust she helped strengthen between Switzerland and Kosovo.

We are grateful to everyone who welcomed Beate, worked alongside her, and contributed to our shared journey. Together, we have built connections that will continue long after this chapter comes to a close.

Thank you for everything you have given to this mission. We wish you all the very best in your next adventure!

Switzerland invests in stronger health systems that leads to better care for every patient in Kosovo.

Switzerland supports the development and implementation of standardised clinical practices, thereby equipping healthcare professionals with practical tools that enhance the quality, consistency and safety of healthcare services across Kosovo.
Through the Integrated Health Services (IHS) Project, implemented by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), Switzerland is pleased to support the Ministry of Health and national stakeholders in advancing reforms that strengthen the health system and improve the quality of care for all.
