๐Ÿ›๏ธโฒ๏ธDid you know this Geraldton icon has stood the test of time for well over a century โ€” and its famous clock is still ticking?

The Geraldton Regional Art Gallery is more than a gallery โ€” it's a place where art, history and community come together.

Built in 1907 as the Town Hall, the building was once the centre of civic and community life. From concerts ๐ŸŽผ dances ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ and theatre productions ๐ŸŽญ to civic celebrations ๐ŸŽ‰ and films๐ŸŽฆ, generations of locals have walked through its doors.

If you've ever glanced up at the Town Hall Clock, you're looking at a piece of Geraldton's living history. For generations, it has marked the passing of time while watching the city grow and evolve around it.

๐Ÿ“œThe building's future hung in the balance during the early 1980s when demolition was proposed to make way for additional city parking. Thanks to a passionate community-led campaign, the historic Town Hall was saved and given a new lease on life, reopening as the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery in 1984.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธโ„น๏ธ Today, this much-loved landmark continues to welcome locals and visitors alike as the home of both the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery and the Geraldton Visitor Centre. From inspiring exhibitions, local history to travel tips, every visit offers something new to explore.
