On 21 August, JICA Botswana held its 2026 Security Management Meeting for JICA personnel.
ㅤ
During the meeting, participants received updates on the security situation and crime trends in Botswana and across Southern Africa. Practical information was also shared on crime prevention, lessons learned from incidents involving Japanese nationals, and health-related topics such as animal bite management.
ㅤ
At JICA, the safety and well-being of our volunteers and partners are a top priority. This meeting provided an important opportunity to strengthen safety awareness, enhance preparedness, and ensure that everyone is equipped with the knowledge needed to live and work safely.
ㅤ
JICA Botswana remains committed to promoting a safe environment for all and supporting effective and sustainable cooperation activities throughout the country.

8月21日、JICAボツワナは関係者を対象に「2026年度安全対策連絡協議会」を開催しました。
ㅤ
協議会では、ボツワナ国内および南部アフリカ地域の治安情勢や犯罪傾向、邦人被害事例から学ぶ防犯対策、さらに動物咬傷への対応などについて情報共有を行いました。
ㅤ
JICAでは、ボランティアや関係者が安心して活動できる環境づくりを重視しています。今回の協議会も、安全に関する知識や意識を高め、一人ひとりが適切な備えを行うための大切な機会となりました。
ㅤ
今後もJICAボツワナは、安全対策の強化を通じて、より安心して活動できる環境づくりに取り組んでいきます。

[Botswana Inclusive Art 2026]

Botswana Inclusive Art 2026 will be the country's first exhibition dedicated to artwork created by persons with disabilities and their supporters.
ㅤ
The exhibition aims to promote inclusion, creativity, and connection through artistic expression. In addition to the artworks on display, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and cultural activities throughout the exhibition period.
