July 2026 at the Official French Residence, commemorating the values of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.
It was indeed a pleasure to join distinguished guests in celebrating the enduring friendship, cultural ties, and cooperation between France and the local community.
The evening was filled with warm hospitality, meaningful conversations, and a vibrant celebration of French culture.

🇫🇷🇻🇨 In Memoriam: Mr Lennox John

The Embassy of France in Saint Lucia extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Mr Lennox John, a distinguished son of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines who served his country with dedication in many capacities.

Mr John made a lasting contribution not only to the development of sports in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, but also to cultural and educational exchange. He played an important role in the establishment and development of Alliance Française in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, helping to strengthen the ties of friendship between our two countries.

His commitment, generosity and contribution to the community will not be forgotten.

He will always be remembered.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues and all those whose lives he touched. 🇫🇷🇻🇨

Last week, the final version of two drafts on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition between France and Dominica were signed by H.E Marie-Noëlle Duris along with the Minister of Homeland Security and Judicial Affairs, the Honourable Rayburn Blackmoore.🇨🇵🤝🇩🇲

📒This signing marks the concrete conclusion of three days of negotiations following months of preparations and discussions between France's and Dominica's delegations coordinated by the liaison judge at the French Embassy, Mrs. Emmanuelle Doffe.⚖️👩‍⚖️

🇫🇷🇰🇳 A FIELD TRIP TO FOSTER FRANCE-SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS RELATIONS 🇫🇷🇰🇳

From July 7 to 12, our Project Officer for Education and Culture travelled to Saint Kitts and Nevis to lay the groundwork for two major moments in Franco-Kittitian cooperation 👇

1️⃣ Organizing the upcoming visit in November of Guyanese theatre company OTEP to Saint Kitts, working with local schools and the Ministries of Education and Gender Affairs 🎭
2️⃣ The Francophonie Week, taking place in March 2027 with a series of events across both Saint Kitts and Nevis 🎉

Highlights from the mission:

🤝 Meetings with the Ministries of Education, Foreign Affairs and Gender Affairs, and with the Honorary Consul of France
📚 Strengthening our collaboration with the Alliance Française, working together to turn it into a true hub for the local community
🎓 Meeting with UWI Global Campus to explore new cultural event partnerships with Alliance Française
🏛️ Scouting the route for a history-and-francophonie rally, with historian Leonard Stappleton
🏫 Discussions with Principals of Basseterre High School, Virgil High School, and Immaculate Conception
🌿A trip to Nevis, to nurture our partnership with the Nevis Historical Conservation Society

🇨🇵CELEBRATING FRANCE ON BASTILLE DAY !⭐️

On the 14th of July the French Embassy for the Eastern Caribbean States, Barbados and the OECS in Saint-Lucia celebrated Bastille Day at the residence of France with the French and Caribbean communities in the area.

This 2026 edition also served as an opportunity to honor the French territories in the Americas (Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Saint Barthélemy, and Saint Martin) in a year marked by the official integration of Martinique and French Guiana as the seventh and eighth associate members of CARICOM. 🇲🇶🇬🇫

H.E. Marie-Noëlle Duris and the entire team at the French Embassy would like to sincerely thank all the guests, the Royal St. Lucia Police Band, which enlivened the event with music🎺🥁🎼, as well as the Sciences Po Bordeaux association, .scpobx for its partnership in organizing a photo exhibition on the French territories in the Americas.📸🌊
