The OECS Commission is thrilled to announce the selection of candidates for postgraduate training in Natural Resources and Environmental Management!

This initiative, supported by the EU-funded Biodiversity Support Programme for ACP Coastal Environments (BioSPACE), highlights our unwavering commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation across the region. 🌎

In collaboration with two prestigious institutions – the University of the West Indies-Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (UWI-CERMES) and the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) – these candidates will engage in specialised training to strengthen their expertise in managing natural resources and protecting the environment.

👏 Congratulations to the selected candidates, endorsed by OECS Member States, as they embark on this vital journey to safeguard our region's biodiversity and ecosystems!

🗣️From January 20-22, 2025, CUSO International hosted the Blueprints for Gender Equality Regional Meeting in Grenada 🇬🇩.

💡Attendees from Dominica 🇩🇲, Grenada 🇬🇩, St. Lucia 🇱🇨 and St. Vincent and the Grenadines 🇻🇨 gathered with a shared vision and purpose to advance gender equality and social inclusion across the Eastern Caribbean.

✅We are pleased to share that the Commission participated in the meeting, contributing to the dynamic discussions and lending support to CUSO International's dedicated efforts to create a more equitable and inclusive future for all.

Check out this insightful video on the recently launched Boat Masters Workshop by the Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Eastern Caribbean (UBEC) Saint Lucia Project, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security, and Rural Development.

In collaboration with the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and with funding from the European Union BioSPACE Project, Montserrat is proud to announce the development of its first-ever National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP)! 📜✨

The NDBAP is a As a key policy tool under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and will serve as Montserrat’s blueprint for:

✅ Enhancing ecosystem services
✅ Tackling biodiversity loss
✅ Promoting sustainable development

🏛️ Biospace Supply Tenders: Invitation to Tender for Supply and Delivery of Materials and Equipment for Climate Change Resilience-Building Initiatives.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States intends to award a supply contract for the supply and delivery of materials and equipment for climate change resilience-building initiatives in OECS Member States with financial assistance from the 11th EDF programme of the European Union.
