Today, senior staff members from the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC)'s department: Youth, Sports and National Service, concluded a three-day Leadership Development Training Programme at the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) in Windhoek.
The training provided participants with practical knowledge and skills aimed at strengthening planning, leadership, and workforce development within the Ministry.
Throughout the programme, participants gained a deeper understanding of Procurement Development Plans, focusing on their purpose, importance and the need to ensure compliance with established procedures.
The training also covered the development of training plans, including identifying key stakeholders, assessing training needs and the importance of planning and budgeting to address performance gaps and support staff development.
The final sessions focused on induction and orientation, highlighting their role in helping new employees settle into the workplace and contribute effectively to the Ministry's goals.
The programme concluded on a positive note, with participants better equipped to support improved service delivery and contribute to a more effective and responsive workplace within MEIYSAC.
