📌📌📢Update on the Pension and Disability Grant Verification Process in Khomas Region:
The Khomas Regional Council wishes to assure all pensioners and disability grant beneficiaries in the Khomas Region that the ongoing verification process at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare (pension grant verification offices) in Khomasdal is aimed at ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of grants, while safeguarding benefits for all eligible recipients.
To assess progress, the Khomasdal Regional Councillor, Hon. Wayne Sissing, visited the verification offices today, where he observed the process, engaged with Ministry officials, and interacted with beneficiaries.

The Council is pleased to note improvements in the verification process, with residents reporting a smoother experience compared to previous days.
Beneficiaries who have not yet completed the verification process may still visit the Ministry offices in Khomasdal to verify their details, and ensure that their records are updated accordingly.

The Council commends the Ministry for its continued dedication and commitment to serving beneficiaries, and will continue to assess the situation to ensure that residents receive the highest standard of service and support.

Lastly, we thank all residents for their patience, understanding and cooperation throughout this process. 🙏🏽

Today, the Khomas Region has joined the Omaheke and Kavango East Regions at Ozombuzovindimba in Otjinene to jointly honour and remember the lives lost, the communities destroyed, and the generations affected by one of the darkest chapters in our history.
The Genocide Remembrance Day serves as a powerful reminder of the pain endured by our ancestors, the resilience of the Namibian people, and the importance of preserving historical truth for future generations.
As we remember, may the courage and strength of those who came before us continue to inspire us to build a peaceful, inclusive, and dignified society for all.

📌📌 The Khomas Regional Council extends sincere appreciation to its outgoing independent Audit Committee members for their invaluable contribution towards strengthening accountability, transparency, and good governance within the Council. As they conclude their tenure, we wish them continued success and prosperity in their future endeavours.

Today also marked the first Audit Committee meeting attended by Hon. Wayne Sissing, Regional Councillor of Khomasdal Constituency, following his recent appointment to the Committee. Hon. Sissing, who will serve alongside the incoming Audit Committee members, had the honour of handing over souvenirs to the outgoing members as a symbol of appreciation, and gratitude for their dedicated service.

As one chapter closes and another begins, may the values of integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership continue to illuminate the path of the Khomas Regional Council, in its commitment to serving the residents with excellence and purpose.
