🏍️🚁 RIDE FOR YOUR RESCUE HELICOPTER! 🚁🏍️

This Saturday 26 September, the Top of the South Motorcycle Club is once again hitting the road for its annual Daylight Savings Ride, raising vital funds for the Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter. 💛

Each year up to 90 riders take part, travelling from Filco Farm & Sport in Stoke, through to St Arnaud, before finishing at the Wakefield Hotel — all in support of a service that is there for our community when every minute counts. (Top South Now)

📍 Registrations from 9am at Filco Farm & Sport
🏍️ Ride starts 11am
💛 $20 per person
🍳 Breakfast available from 9am thanks to the Nelson Host Lions Club
🎟️ Raffles and ride badges available on the day

In August, our crew responded to 26 missions across the region and beyond, including two winch rescues and nine missions using night vision goggles.

Behind every number is a person, a family and a moment when getting help quickly can make all the difference.

🏃‍♀️ Meet 'Heli Ellie' – taking on 100km for our Rescue Helicopter! 🚁💛

We’re pretty inspired by this one!

Nelson local Ellie is taking on the 100km event at The Spectacle this December – her first-ever 100km run and she’s set herself another challenge along the way: raising $2,000 for the Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

In Ellie’s words:

“My favourite way to spend a weekend is exploring the trails and backcountry alongside my partner, our two dogs and our incredible community of trail running friends.

Taking on 100km is going to be one of the biggest physical challenges of my life! The more time I spend in our isolated ranges with the people and dogs I love, the more I’m reminded how vital emergency support is. I know how quickly things can change in the hills, and I want to help ensure the Rescue Helicopter is always ready to fly for our community.” 🚁

🚁❤️ What a fantastic Father’s Day turnout!

A huge thank you to everyone who headed along to The Roadhouse Breakfast at Riverlands Roadhouse this morning in support of the Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

We’re incredibly grateful to the organisers, local businesses, vehicle enthusiasts and everyone who came along, donated and got behind our service. Events like this are a brilliant example of our community coming together, having a great time and supporting a lifesaving service that is there for all of us when it’s needed most.
