The Bureau of Fire ProtectionโCordillera Administrative Region (BFP-CAR), headed by the Officer-in-Charge ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฅ ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ช๐๐ง๐, ๐ฃ๐ต.๐,attended in the Budget Hearing held yesterday at the House of Representatives.
Spearheaded by the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government ๐๐ผ๐ป. ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ผ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ (๐๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฐ) ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐บ๐๐น๐น๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ., together with the BFP- OIC ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ง๐ข ๐ฅ๐๐๐ข ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ช๐๐ก ๐ง๐๐จ, some of the highlights being presented by ๐๐ผ๐ป. ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ถ๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฎ, Sponsor for DILG Budget were:
1. 27.23% of decline in fire incidents,
2. successfully operated Unified 911 system, and
3. 92.83% of activated fire stations.
BFP-CAR expresses its sincere appreciation to the Members of Congress and concerned stakeholders for their continued support toward the approval of the Bureauโs proposed budget and modernization initiatives for Fiscal Year 2027.
The proposed funding support is vital in addressing the continuing operational and capability requirements of BFP-CAR, particularly in municipalities that remain without fire stations, areas with inadequate fire truck capability, and stations operating with aging fire apparatus.
BFP-CAR likewise seeks continued congressional support for additional appropriations to strengthen its firefighting, rescue, and emergency response capabilities across the Cordillera Administrative Region.
As part of the Bureauโs modernization efforts, BFP-CAR emphasizes the importance of the procurement of additional modern and specialized firefighting and rescue equipment designed and suited to the unique and challenging terrain of the Cordillera.
