Vision Zero ND

Vision Zero ND VISION ZERO. Zero fatalities. Zero excuses. The mission is to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries caused by motor vehicle crashes.
(2)

The Vision Zero strategy aims to establish a culture of personal responsibility where motor vehicle fatalities and serious injuries are recognized as preventable and not tolerated. Every driver and vehicle occupant in North Dakota can help meet the Vision Zero goal by taking personal responsibility when traveling on the road. This means wearing a seat belt at all times, transporting children in ch

ild passenger safety seats appropriate for the child’s age, weight and height, driving distraction-free, driving sober (i.e. not under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs), and obeying all posted speed limits. Posting Policy:

Golf season is back ⛳

On the course or heading home, don’t mix drinking and driving. Even golf carts require focus and responsibility.

Plan a safe ride, stay aware and look out for others on and off the course.

Good rounds start and end safely.

Vision Zero recently partnered with Kindred FFA Chapter to host a lunchtime traffic safety event for students in grades 9-12 at Kindred High School as students prepared for summer! 🚗☀️

Students had the opportunity to participate in interactive stations focused on distracted driving, impaired driving, and general traffic safety. Through hands-on activities and conversations, the event encouraged students to think about the choices they make as drivers and passengers every day and how those decisions can affect not only their own safety, but the safety of others on the road as well.

Thank you to the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Cass County Sheriff's Office for their support and for helping make this event possible by facilitating stations throughout the lunch period!

Good luck to everyone heading to state baseball, softball, girls soccer and girls tennis!

With more teams and fans on the road, take it slow, stay alert and drive safe getting there and back.

An extra special shoutout to all of our Vision Zero School athletes participating!

This month's special guest for Safety Stories was Leah from Vision Zero ND!

She shared a story about a distracted driving octopus, reminding us all about the importance of staying focused and avoiding distractions behind the wheel.🐙🚗

This free monthly preschool program features a book reading and activities centered around safety topics, all led by local hometown heroes. Safety Stories is held in partnership with the West Fargo Park District and Vision Zero ND. The program is taking a summer break and will return in September.

Stay safe and see you in September! 🚗✨
