Workplace safety is strongest when it becomes a part of everyday decisions-making. It’s especially important in North Dakota, where our two biggest industries, agriculture and energy, are two of the most dangerous according the NSC.

We’ve proclaimed today, June 1, as Get Home Safe ND Day. We can continue building a North Dakota where workplace safety is expected, valued and lived every day.

Thank you to our team at WSI for continuing to lead this important initiative.

📣 North Dakota is seeking input from parents, educators, students, and community members on responsible technology use in our classrooms.

State Superintendent Levi Bachmeier, alongside legislative and executive leaders, has launched a statewide survey to gather public perspectives on how technology can best support student learning. The survey is open now through August 1.

The survey asks participants to weigh in on topics including:
📱 Device use limits at the elementary level
🏠 Whether students should take devices home
🖥️ Monitoring software on school-issued devices
📅 Virtual instruction policies and make-up days

"Educational technology should be a tool, not a toy. Students, families, and educators want technology that supports meaningful instruction while reducing distractions from passive use." – Superintendent Bachmeier

Survey results will inform policy recommendations ahead of the 2027 legislative session, building on the success of North Dakota's phone-free schools legislation.

Good luck to our players across North Dakota from softball to legion, from t-ball to semi-pro, and everyone in between.

From EMTs and paramedics to dispatchers, firefighters, nurses, law enforcement and volunteers, these dedicated professionals provide lifesaving care when North Dakotans need it most.

Whether responding to emergencies in our largest cities or our most rural communities, our first responders serve with courage, professionalism and compassion.

The Dakota Access Pipeline has operated safely for nearly nine years, and today’s announcement lifts the cloud of uncertainty from over this essential piece of American infrastructure. The pipeline’s continued operation will help keep energy affordable and our nation secure while benefiting North Dakota’s economy, our citizens and our communities across the state.

North Dakota’s future is bright, and despite domestic and global challenges, so is our oil & gas industry's. We have what the world needs, and that demand isn’t going away anytime soon.

Today at the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference, we encouraged the industry to keep innovating and finding better, faster, cleaner, safer and more efficient ways of producing oil & gas as we look ahead to the next 75 years of partnership.
