It's not too late to attend! Spend an evening celebrating Carol and all she has given to Scouting.
After an extraordinary 45 years of dedicated service, the Del-Mar-Va Council, Scouting America, announces the retirement of Carol Swank, our longtime Registrar and a cherished member of the Scouting family. Carol will conclude her remarkable career with the Del-Mar-Va Council on August 31, 2026, as she begins a well-earned retirement.
Carol has been one of the most recognizable and trusted faces in Scouting throughout the Del-Mar-Va Council. If you've been involved with Scouting in any capacity—as a Scout, parent, volunteer, unit leader, or staff member—you have almost certainly spoken with Carol, been guided by her, or relied on her assistance at some point along your Scouting journey. Her knowledge, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help have made her an invaluable resource and a familiar voice to generations of Scouting families.
As Carol prepares for retirement, we will celebrate her remarkable career at a reception on August 20th, at the Christiana Wilmington Hilton in Newark DE. Find more details and register to attend at www.delmarvacouncil.org/carol . Carol has embodied the values of Scouting through her unwavering commitment to serving others and her steadfast dedication to the mission of developing young people into future leaders. Her impact extends far beyond registrations and records—it lives on in the generations of Scouts, volunteers, and families she has supported throughout the past 45 years. While her daily presence will be deeply missed, her influence on the Del-Mar-Va Council will continue to be felt for years to come.
Thank you, Carol, for 45 years of extraordinary dedication to Scouting and to the Del-Mar-Va Council. Congratulations on a truly well-earned retirement.
