The girl with a broken heart… meet Mercy. ❤️🩹
This beautiful soul arrived as a stray but we can’t help but wonder if she was abandoned by somebody. She has the most soulful, expressive eyes that seem to say, “What did I do wrong? Why am I here?”
Once this girl has had some time to warm up to a new person, she lets her amazing personality shine through. There’s so much more to her than a heartbroken pup trying to find the strength to push forward.
She’s affectionate, silly, and playful. She loves soaking up the company of a kind human who tells her what a good girl she is. She has all the appreciation in the world for a good cozy spot, so she’s hoping her future home has lots of beds and blankets with her name on them. 🥰
Mercy is about 4 years old and 48 pounds. She requires a meet with other dogs living in the home, but she did come in with a male dog. Like most of our canine residents, she’s stressed at the shelter which is making her feel a bit more on edge. It’s important to make sure she feels comfortable with any other dogs living in the home before making an adoption official.
Because she enjoys being able to do things on her own terms and at her own pace, Mercy would do best with older children (8-10+ recommended). She would love to find a calm home where she can finally experience the unconditional love, stability, and commitment that she’s dreamed of her whole life.
