Today, the City of Jacksonville Disabled Services Division participated in the Our Veterans Matter Expo at Veterans Memorial Arena. Our team had the opportunity to share information about programs and resources, recruit volunteers, and connect with veterans, military families and community partners.

September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, increase understanding and recognize the strength and resilience of individuals living with spinal cord injuries.

September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. 💚

This month, we recognize the incredible spinal cord injury community — individuals living with spinal cord injuries, their families, caregivers, advocates and the dedicated professionals who support them along the way.

Throughout September, we celebrate their stories, raise awareness and recognize the strength of a community that continues to inspire us.

It's National Dog Day! 🐾

Today, we’re celebrating our four-legged friends—and the incredible ways they support and enrich our lives. 💙

At this year’s Disability & Adaptive Recreation Expo, we had the pleasure of meeting a special service dog. 🐕‍🦺

Service dogs can provide life-changing assistance and greater independence for people with disabilities. Today, we’re giving a big tail wag to all the amazing dogs who make a difference every day!
