As DNS Milwaukee enters the final week of Building Safety Month, there is no better example of a comprehensive approach to building safety than this recent example. This dormant building had been a raze candidate for two years. Suspected arson turned this into a five-alarm fire, and we are grateful that our colleagues at the Milwaukee Fire Department were not hurt during their work at the scene. Due to the circumstances of this site, our department initiated an emergency order to demolish this building. VEIT has been working on the demolition since yesterday. Photos of the progress in less than 24 hours show the commitment to job site safety and compliant demolition are unparalleled.
