For four generations, Craven Glass Company, Inc. has supported builders and designers across the Southeast. This week, they’re writing the next chapter.

The company has broken ground on a 45,000-sq-ft headquarters and fabrication facility, a $5 million investment that will bring 15 new jobs and new capabilities to Craven County. Construction is underway, and the future is taking shape.

Yesterday, our partners at Craven Community College broke ground on their new Public Safety Training Center, located in the Craven County Industrial Park.

This state-supported $12 million initiative, developed in partnership with Craven County NC and supported by local and state leaders, will serve as a premier regional hub for training firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and other first responders across Eastern North Carolina.

Big things are happening at the EWN Corporate Aerospace Development area! Construction is underway, with water and sewer piping now being installed. 👷‍♂️

This 55-acre site, adjacent to the main runway, is designed for aerospace companies seeking state-of-the-art facilities with direct airport access.

This week, Governor Josh Stein signed North Carolina House Bill 358, which provides $10.4 million in nonrecurring funds to the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport Authority to support site improvements and infrastructure development at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport- EWN.

This continued investment from the state builds on contributions from multiple partners, including the Federal Aviation Administration, North Carolina Department of Commerce, Craven County NC, the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport Authority, and Golden LEAF Foundation. Private partners, such as FMR Aeronautical Properties, are also supporting the project, helping lay the foundation for sustained aerospace industry growth.
