We're so happy to hear that the care packages we built for teachers alongside Nordstrom volunteers have been well received. Teachers deserve the best! 🥰

🎒Thank you to Nordstrom and United Way of King County for their donations for educators. ✏ Nordstrom put together packs of water bottles, snacks, lip balm, and handwritten notes for local teachers and community advocates. 📚Our Early Learning Program knows plenty of teachers, so those assets will be put to good use. Thank you!

Wow wow WOW 🤯 You all SHOWED UP for our inaugural Pack The Bus volunteer event!! From 9 a.m. to noon, 68 volunteers packed a whopping 2,500 care packages for local elementary and high school students. 🍎🚌🥳

Filled with full-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tinned meats, dried pasta, books, card games, toys, and more, these care kits will help fill the resource gap for low-income families when school closes for the summer.

Summer should be exciting—not stressful—so we Packed The Bus to ensure kids have what they need to make summer break safe and joyous!

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and staff who helped make this initiative a success and get necessary resources into the hands of kids who need them!🎉💛

It’s finally here!! Our staff has been working tirelessly to launch a brand new volunteer initiative called Pack The Bus, and it’s happening this week (thank you for helping us spread the word to families)! 🚌

During the summer, kids lose access to the resources schools offer—things like food, educational materials, and hygiene resources. In response, we’re Packing The Bus to bring community care kits (packs filled with all those essential items) to kids in King County.

Thank you to Communities in Schools of Greater King County for partnering with us to identify student need. We’re uniting to improve the lives of students in our area!

To all of our volunteers, now it’s time to Pack The Bus. See you Wednesday for the big event!🤝

Today we celebrated all 652 of our Free Tax Volunteers!! Thanks to their dedication this tax season, we helped our neighbors save *drumroll please🥁* 18 MILLION DOLLARS IN TAX CREDITS AND REFUNDS!!🎉

That is money straight back into the pockets of people who need it most, and we quite literally could not do this work without our volunteers.

Fours months of training, tests, and showing up for our neighbors… THANK YOU to our Free Tax Team!
