Session 2 Mon.-Thurs. 7/8-7/18
Child times 11-11:30 a.m. Level 1 Water Exploration (4-6 years old) Child will learn swimming development skills such as proper body position, kicking and rhythmic breathing. Level 2 Primary Skills (4-6 years old) Child will learn swimming readiness and self-rescue skills such as face immersion floating, kick and arm stroking
Level 3 Stroke Readiness (5 and over) Child will learn front and back crawl and elementary backstroke and beginning diving
Level 4 Stroke Development (5 and over) Child will increase swim distance in front and back crawl and elementary backstroke and learn breaststroke and sidestroke. Private one-on-one lessons are $12 per 20 minutes or $15 for 30 minutes. Dates and times to be arranged with an instructor. Toddler/Parent Lessons
Parents are required to accompany their child in the water. The program gives parents information and techniques to help orient their child to the water and to supervise water activities in a safe manner. Ages: 2-3 years

Lap Swim
Lap swimming is a fantastic overall exercise and calorie burner for all ages and abilities. Also good for patient rehabilitation. Please lap swim in the designated lanes only. Cost: $2 Monday-Friday 11 a.m.-noon and 5-6:30 p.m. Shields Park Pool may be rented for birthdays, private parties and special occasions. Call early to make your reservation. Days and times: Monday-Friday 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturdays- 10 a.m.-noon
Saturdays and Sundays 6-8 p.m. Cost: $100 base rate
$12/hour for lifeguards, minimum of 4 for 2 hours = $96
$14/hour for manager, minimum of 1 for 2 hours = $28
Total - $224 for up to 125 people for 2 hours. Group rates are available upon request for groups of 10 or more. Call the pool manager's office for further details and information.
