Quindaro Townsite in Kansas City, Kansas, is an important part of American history and should be nationally recognized.

This week, the House Natural Resources Committee had a productive hearing on my bipartisan bill that would designate Quindaro a National Historic Landmark.

This bill will help preserve Quindaro’s legacy and ensure future generations can learn from this important chapter in our nation’s history.

This was an important step in the process and I'm proud to help advance this legislation.

Every child deserves the opportunity to build a strong financial foundation.

This week, I joined Representative Sharice Davids to introduce the bipartisan Born to Invest Act, legislation that would help parents and guardians learn about tax-favored savings and investment options available for their children.

Kansas has already created a framework to connect families with information about Trump Accounts, 529 college savings plans, and ABLE accounts. This bill would take that plan national.

When families have the information they need, they can make informed decisions about saving and investing for their children’s future.

This week the House passed tough new sanctions on Russia because of Vladimir Putin's continued war against Ukraine. It took years to negotiate this sanctions package, which had overwhelming bipartisan support in the Senate though less so in the House. I voted for it, and I'm hopeful it can help bring the Ukraine war to an end.

The bill was championed by GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died suddenly just one day after announcing a deal had been reached with the White House to move forward.

Yesterday, the House passed the National Fraud Enforcement Division Act. I was proud to cosponsor this bill to strengthen and make permanent the DOJ’s ability to crack down on fraud and hold criminals accountable.

We must protect every taxpayer dollar and ensure those who steal from Americans face consequences.

Our 2nd congressional district is home to Wolf Creek, making us the center of nuclear power generation in Kansas. During a recent House Small Business Committee hearing, I explored how Wolf Creek's presence might be an advantage for building next-generation small nuclear reactors nearby.

The House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act!

I’m proud to have cosponsored this bipartisan bill requiring new vehicles to provide access to AM radio at no additional cost to consumers--just as had been the case for many years.

AM radio is a critical source of news, weather, and emergency alerts for rural communities, and I’m glad this bill is moving forward.

The House passed the GUARD Act, bipartisan legislation to protect older Americans from financial fraud and scams.

I was proud to cosponsor this bill, which gives state, local, and Tribal law enforcement more tools to investigate fraud - including sophisticated cryptocurrency scams targeting seniors.

Our seniors earned their savings. We must do everything we can to protect them.

A new round of nearly $17 million in Rural Health Transformation Program funding is coming to Kansas!

Two organizations with operations in my district - GoodLife Innovations ($1.17M) and Valley Hope Association ($219K) - are receiving support, bringing total RHTP funding for providers in my district to $19.27 million.

Kansas has already received tens of millions of dollars in RHTP funding, and more is expected.

Rural Kansans deserve access to quality care close to home, and I’ll keep fighting to deliver it.
