Applications are now OPEN for my 2026 U.S. Service Academy nominations!

One of my greatest honors as your Congressman is nominating outstanding young men and women from Kansas' Second District to attend our nation's U.S. Service Academies and pursue a life of military service.

If you're interested in attending the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, or U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, I encourage you to apply.

The deadline to submit nomination materials is October 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Glad to see the Senate moving forward on the Farm Bill including allowing for year-around sales of E15. More certainty for producers, expanded domestic ethanol market, and greater consumer choices to bring down gas prices at the pump make this promising. The House passed our version earlier this year, and I'm hopeful the Senate has found a workable path to follow suit and finish the job.

Happy !

I'm especially grateful for our outstanding summer interns, Esmeralda Stadthagen of Atchison and Ryan Mann of Yates Center, who served in our Washington office, as well as Brayden Frazier, who served in our district office in Topeka, for their hard work and dedication to serving Kansans.

From assisting constituents to supporting legislative work, they played an important role in helping our team deliver for Kansas' Second District. Thank you all for your service this summer, and best of luck as you continue your education and pursue the opportunities ahead!

Thank you to NFIB for recognizing me as a Small Business Deduction Champion! The tax reform we enacted last year was critical for small businesses, especially by making the 199A deduction permanent so small Main Street businesses aren't taxed at a higher rate than multinational corporations. That relief has made a positive difference for thousands of small businesses throughout our 2nd Congressional District.
