Join us on National Trails Day, Saturday June 6, for a Volunteer Community Work Day at Mount A!

Volunteers will learn hands-on dimensional lumber construction techniques to replace a 40-foot multi-use boardwalk. Boardwalks and bridges prevent wet feet, protect trails from erosion, and provide essential search and rescue access. Project location will involve hiking up to 1.5 miles total. Work will include demolition, moving heavy planking, and installing new decking. No experience necessary.

Work Days are from 9 AM - 12 PM. Please bring your daypack, hiking/work boots, water bottle, insect repellent, and work gloves (we have spare gloves if you don’t have any). Tools and equipment will be provided. Light snacks and refreshments follow the event. Youth volunteers are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Please e-mail [email protected] to register. Registration is required.

We share this landscape with each other, wild communities, and with the water systems that sustain us all.

In this evening workshop on June 23, participants will slow down and explore their connection to the Mount Agamenticus landscape through guided observation and creative reflection. After a short walk along the Big A Trail at the summit, participants will create a small handmade zine (a DIY booklet) that expresses their personal relationship to this shared ground.

No artistic skill required. This workshop is about noticing, belonging, and connecting. All materials provided. This program is free with admission, but registration is required. More information at https://agamenticus.org/shared-ground-june-23/. Please e-mail [email protected] to register.
