📢 WE’RE HIRING!!

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining (MNRPM) is implementing a three-year initiative, “Strengthening the Ecosystem to Advance Sustainable Land Management in Belize’s Coastal Zone (SEA-SLM).” The project forms part of the Blue Bond Programme being coordinated by the Blue Bond and Finance Permanence Unit (BBBFP) under the Office of the Prime Minister.

MNRPM is seeking a Project Assistant to support project coordination, procurement, monitoring and reporting, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge management to ensure the effective implementation of the SEA-SLM Project.

Effective May 1, 2026, the Government of Belize implemented a moratorium on licenses for new piers and over water structures as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen land governance, improve transparency, and support the responsible management of our national resources.

This important step reflects our continued commitment to building a more sustainable and accountable future for Belize and its people. 🇧🇿

Over the course of two weeks, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining participated in an intensive leadership and capacity-building initiative focused on improving how we serve the people of Belize.

Through a partnership between the Governments of Belize and Canada under the Canada-CARICOM Expert Deployment Mechanism (CCEDM), facilitated by Catalyste+, senior management engaged in strategic planning and results-based management workshops led by Canadian expert Jaap Siekman MSc, PEng, PMP.

The sessions focused on strengthening accountability, improving internal processes, reducing inefficiencies, and building a more responsive and transparent public service.

The Ministry remains committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and better service delivery for all Belizeans.
