We’ve got maybe the best travel deal of all for you this !

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hiring for a GS-12 Project Engineer to join our Special Projects Resident Office team. The unique position is based in Wiesbaden, Germany but the SPRO team oversees construction projects throughout the Balkans and the Baltics in Eastern Europe and all throughout Africa in support of U.S. European Command (EUCOM) and U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM).

That means candidates should be flexible and ready to travel, including at times to austere locations, for site visits supporting the delivery of projects building the capacity of host nation armed forces and humanitarian assistance projects.

Right now in Africa, our SPRO team is supporting delivery of electrical upgrades to a key hospital in Liberia, a new malaria reference laboratory in Sierra Leone, multiple schools and much more. In Eastern Europe, we’ve recently delivered training range improvements, a hospital helipad and school projects – just to name a few examples.

This position is open to the public, so anyone can apply.

If you’ve ever thought about supporting U.S. national interests abroad as a civilian working for the U.S. Army, now is the time.
