We had a blast at Garrison Wiesbaden’s Back to School Fair this week! So great to meet the upcoming generation of STEM professionals as they kick off the new school year!

We're proud to partner with Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA) to deliver new, 21st century school facilities and a variety of modernization efforts at existing schools for the children of military families. This is just one of the many ways we're able to contribute to the quality of life for personnel and their families stationed overseas here in Europe.

Major updates are coming to the airfield in Powidz, Poland!

Work is underway for a new rotary wing apron, a specialized aircraft parking and staging area designed to host a combat aviation brigade's full complement of helicopters. This critical asset will directly enhance the operational reach and lethality of our aviation forces in theater.

This project is made possible through the Poland Provided Infrastructure program. We are proud to partner with our Polish allies, whose vital funding and leadership are bringing these modern facilities to life to support our service members.

To ensure everything meets U.S. requirements, USACE works closely with our Polish partners by providing early design development, review processes, and on-site construction oversight for seamless interoperability.

Expanding this airfield footprint guarantees our pilots and crew have the vital ground resources needed to maintain a highly ready and responsive force.
