Is your product label up to standard?

For manufacturers and businesses producing pre-packaged foods, getting your label right is an important part of meeting labelling requirements and providing consumers with the information they need.

Your label should include key information such as the common name of the product, brand or registered trade name, manufacturer’s details, country of origin, net contents, ingredients, batch/lot number and best before/expiry date, among other requirements.

Four days of regional collaboration. One step closer to stronger building standards.

The 3rd Meeting of the CREEBC Regional Project Team (RPT) for the revision of the CARICOM Regional Energy Efficiency Building Code (CREEBC) has officially come to a close in Saint Lucia.
Over the past four days, regional stakeholders came together to review technical provisions, consider member state feedback, work through comments on the updated code and engage in a capacity building workshop.
With all comments reviewed and considered by the Regional Project Team, the next step is to incorporate the agreed feedback and make the appropriate revisions to update the CREEBC for finalization.

As host and co-secretariat of the CREEBC Regional Project Team, the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) is proud to have contributed to this important regional effort.
The work continues toward a Code that supports greater energy efficiency, climate responsive design and more sustainable buildings across the Caribbean.

The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) in collaboration with Bureau of Standards Jamaica, continues to provide leadership in the 3rd Meeting of the Regional Project Team (RPT) for the revision of the CARICOM Regional Energy Efficiency Building Code (CREEBC) and capacity building, held from August 31-September 3, 2026, in Saint Lucia.
The meeting brings together regional partners to review and validate updates to the CREEBC, with discussions covering energy performance, climate-responsive design, building envelopes, HVAC systems, lighting and renewable energy integration.
Through our leadership, SLBS continues to contribute to regional efforts to strengthen building standards and support a more energy-efficient, climate-resilient and sustainable Caribbean.
