On 17 August 2026, the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the development of Namibia’s arts and creative industries.

The partnership brings Government institutions together to turn creative potential into productions, employment, skills development and economic opportunity.

What a way to continue an incredible Expo experience, with the NFC stall being recognised for the Best Creative Stand!

We are incredibly grateful to CST Expo for this and for creating a platform that has allowed us to showcase Namibian film and connect with our creative community.

A very special thank you goes to Propaganda Warehouse for contributing the incredible props that helped us bring the NFC stand to life, the Filmmakers Association of Namibia for their continued partnership in strengthening and championing Namibian film, and to Seventeen Media for working tirelessly behind the scenes, providing video production and technical support throughout the Expo.

Thank you to every person who visited our stand, engaged with the team, supported us, asked questions and joined the conversations.

EU Film Festival Opens Call for Submissions for the 2026 Edition
Namibian filmmakers are invited to submit short films for consideration in the 2026 EU Film Festival, scheduled to take place between October and November 2026.

The Namibian Film Commission invites applications for a scriptwriting workshop to be held in Windhoek from 21-25 September 2026.

The workshop will be facilitated by award-winning author and filmmaker Tsitsi Dangarembga.
